Accident reconstruction animation
If you have ever had the misfortune of being in a car accident, you know how difficult it can be to recreate the chain of events. Each driver involved swears they were not at fault, and the eyewitnesses can’t seem to agree on specifics. That is why an accident reconstruction animation can be a crucial litigation tool. With accident reconstruction animation, you can clearly demonstrate how the accident occurred, how injuries were sustained, and even who is at fault.

Rear-end collision – This accident occurred on an interstate, where both lanes of traffic in one direction were stopped. One vehicle failed to brake properly, colliding with a stopped vehicle. We were able to show exactly when the vehicle began braking and the corresponding skid marks, along with the damage to both vehicles. By including the surrounding vehicles, eyewitnesses are able to show their exact vantage points of the accident.

Interactive animation – For this animation, litigators wanted to be able to show multiple scenarios and their corresponding outcomes. We created an interactive model that allowed elements to be manually added and removed in order to recreate the three different scenarios. The initial reconstruction demonstrates how existing road conditions caused the car to flip end over end. In the first scenario, the addition of an inlet causes the car to flip onto the hood and skid along the road. Finally, we demonstrated how the addition of rocks to the side of the road could have allowed the vehicle to regain traction and return safely to the road rather than flipping.

Dump truck vs. car – In this accident, a speeding dump truck passed a line of stopped vehicles on a double yellow line. The lead vehicle was making a left hand turn, and the dump truck collided with the driver side door. The collision caused the front passenger to be jerked violently to the left and right, causing trauma to both hemispheres of the brain. Our recreation was able to clearly demonstrate the chain of events that caused the accident and show that the driver of the dump truck was at fault. The animation further demonstrated just how the passenger’s injuries were sustained, providing a striking visual for expert medical testimony.
